Our Educational Vision
Learning Japanese has traditionally been regarded as one of the most challenging linguistic undertakings for English and international speakers. With three complex writing systems (Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji), intricate grammar particles, and nuanced politeness levels, students often encounter burnout before reaching functional fluency.
KANA Learning was founded with a singular purpose: to break down the Japanese language into digestible, enjoyable, and scientifically backed learning loops that empower any student to start speaking and reading with confidence from day one.
About Founder & Curriculum Developer
Krishna Dev Thapa built KANA Learning out of a personal passion for Japanese linguistics and interactive education software. Having navigated the hurdles of self-studying Japanese through textbooks and disparate tools, he engineered KANA Learning as the unified platform he wished existed: free, lightning fast, and deeply engaging.
